The Possibility by Sanjukta Das
In the realm where doubts roam freely
Where uncertainties cast their gloomy shadows
Why do I hear voices echo in the corridors of my mind?
“It’s impossible,” proclaimed my Pride
Its staunch presence casting doubt upon the horizon.
“It’s risky,” cautioned my Experience
Weaving threads of caution into the fabric of potential.
“It’s pointless,” echoed my Reason
Its logical veil obscuring the path ahead.
Amidst the cacophony of skepticism
A soft whisper emerged
Tender yet resolute.
“Give it a try,” breathed my Heart
A beacon of hope amidst the tempest of doubts.
In its gentle urging
Lay the essence of a well-known courage
The seed of potential waiting to be nurtured.
And right at that moment
Amidst the clamor of conflicting voices
My Heart’s whisper resonated with a clarity
That transcended every logic.
It was my voice of intuition
The silent guide beckoning me
Towards an uncharted territory of my soul.
For in the dance between uncertainty and possibility
It is often the quiet murmurs of the Heart
That has lead me towards the true essence of my being.
So with faith
As my compass
And courage as my companion
I choose to heed its call and venture forth
Into the grandeur of the unknown.
Knowing in that leap lies the magic of possibility
Waiting to be discovered.
Absolutely love this! Has the tone and feel, not to speak of message, of a hymn. I can hear it sung in several tunes. The tune playing for me right now is a 15th century chant, the key phrases repeating. It could be rendered equally as a sweet, melodious contemporary hymn.
“And right at that moment
Amidst the clamor of conflicting voices
My Heart’s whisper resonated with a clarity
That transcended every logic.”
The author and I are clearly kindred spirits. Hope she reads this. Hope my broken heart still whispers to me and I heed it.
Thank you for this post.
