Kathmandu – The Boxed Set

Due to the overwhelming response from the 4 readers who took time off to read this Tale of a Traumatic Travel Trip, The SloWord has been goaded into producing a Boxed Set.

Which really means that my career as a writer is over, Boxed Sets coming after the Casino circuit, on a career progression timeline. I have, of course, bypassed the casino circuit, casinos being, by far, the most depressing place to be other than hospitals, despite pretty much having the same old people connected to oxygen tanks.

Here is the complete story in one place.

Part 1 – The background to the adventure.

Part 2 – Arrival at Kathmandu

Part 3 – The Search for a friendly face

Part 4 – Failure and suspension of the battle

Part 5 – Unfriendly faces and the beginning of chaos

Part 6 – Danger, safety and brief respite

Part 7 – Lawyers and the calm before the storm

Part 8 – The Final Storm and Escape

For the love of cheese…an 8 part story?? Sigh, I guess I have nothing better to do for the next 2 hours…

Grab a turkey leg and a beverage and hunker down, I guess… 🙂

Still several hours til turkey time. And your stories are shorter than I thought, so I’m whizzing through. Already on Part 3. Giddy up.

I like your sense of humor. AND I agree with your assessment of depressing places. Only I’d put casinos ahead of hospitals in the deep dark crevices of hell.

You know, I’m inclined to agree with you. People usually do not have a choice about hospitals, but I can’t imagine some of the sad old people, in their wheelchairs, hooked to their oxygen tanks and punching away at the slots. De-pressing.
Casinos glamorized by James Bond and his ilk don’t really exist.
      Thanks for visiting.
